For those of you who didn't know Joe, suffice to say that if you did, you had a friend for life.  A guy who always had something perfect to say in the worst of situations, a guy who rolled with the punches of life, a guy you could always be sure had your back on stage and off.  He was a great example to the youngsters who learned from him how to be an LBT family member.  He was among the best and brightest of the class of 2000.  A good kid who became a good man on stage, before our eyes.

For those of you who numbered yourself among the many fans of Joe (and anyone who met him became a fan), feel free to remember the good times with Joe - there were so many.  While you're thinking about Joe, give a thought to the family he left behind.  We may have lost a friend, but they lost a son and brother.  If you have some love or good wishes to send, please send it all in their direction.

2000 Graduate Brian Wahlquist has set up a website in memory of Joe.   It has great photos and posted memories.  You can leave some memories of your own. The address is: http://www.angelfire.com/comics/us/Joe%27sPage.html

Joe's mom is also collecting written memories of Joe at her email address  - JGL1@aol.com

The Leotta Family has established the Joseph G. Leotta Memorial Fund.  You can send a donation to 9200 Burke Lake Road, Burke, Va 22015. Attention:  Fran Giska.  Please make checks payable to Lake Braddock Secondary School and write Joe Leotta on the memo line. You can also e-mail: JGL1@aol.com
