Lake Braddock Theatre Boosters

ROMEO AND JULIET

MAY 2-4

Tickets on sale now!

In the city of Verona, Italy, the private feud of families (and their households of servants) has spilled into open street warfare, causing chaos and ruining the lives of the citizens of the city.  Set against this violent backdrop, two young people (Romeo Montague, and Juliet Capulet) fall desperately in love with each other.  In an effort to foster peace between the families, they are married in secret, but quickly the tides of fate (or is it circumstance?) turn against them, sparking even more horrible violence and rash actions that cannot be undone.  Shakespeare's most famous love story, arguably, the most famous love story ever told, is the greatest cautionary tale for children and adults - be careful what actions you take, because the consequences are not always within your control.

AUDIENCE ADVISORY: If this production were rated by the Motion Picture Association of America, it would almost certainly be rated "R" for suggestive humor, violence, self-harm, and death.  Audience member discretion is STRONGLY advised.

>>> The Lake Braddock Theatre Boosters relies on the generous support of our families to support our productions. Please consider volunteering or donating! We have two “Sign Up Geniuses” linked below.

The first is to support our fundraising efforts in the Lobby: Sales of flowers and “Fan Mail,” Concessions (baked goods), and Spiritwear (LBT merch!)

The second is to support our efforts to feed the cast and crew — six meals provided during dress rehearsals and performances. We need people to help pick up meals, serve and clean up. We also need many people to support our new LBT tradition of a potluck meal on the Saturday between shows, and other donations of items throughout the week.

About the LBT Boosters:

The Lake Braddock Theatre Boosters is a parent- and family-run booster organization that supports the theatre programs at Lake Braddock Secondary School, at both the high school (grades 9-12) and middle school (grades 7-8) levels.

We welcome all parents and adult family members of current Lake Braddock students who are involved in theatre — taking classes during the school day, participating in after school clubs and/or productions.

Lake Braddock Theatre Boosters members volunteer in many ways: publicizing shows, chaperoning field trips, managing ticket sales, donating baked goods, selling spirit wear items, arranging meals for students, and much more.
